On 2012 September 27, 15 intrepid explorers embarked upon a 21-day Overseas Adventure Travel trip titled "Ultimate Galapagos Exploration & Ecuador's Amazon Wilds (with a pre-trip extension to Machu Picchu, Peru)." The trip was essentially four-trips-in-one: Cuzco and Machu Picchu, Peru; Quito, Ecuador; the Ecuadorian Amazon River Basin Wilds; and the Galapagos Archipelago. The trip included a 7-day cruise in and around the Galapagos Islands on the good-ship Carina and concluded on October 17.
This photo group contains two photo galleries below: (1) Machu Picchu & the Galapagos Islands, and (2) More Galapagos Wildlife Photography. The first gives an overview of the entire trip with only a few selected photographs of Galapagos wildlife. The second gallery provides an emancipated view of only the Galapagos wildlife including: marine iguanas, over two dozen species of birds, sea lions, crabs, tortoises, sea turtles, pelicans, and the Galapagos penguin (the northern-most penguin species in the world).
